Each season, the Mountain Care Project supports initiatives that offer new ways of experiencing the mountain. Among them, the Femmes en Montagne festival perfectly embodies this ambition: giving visibility to the women who explore, tell, and transform the mountain.
Organised in Annecy since 2015, this unique festival in France highlights stories of adventure, sport, commitment, and self-transcendence, all carried by women. Through screenings, talks, meetings, and workshops, Femmes en Montagne encourages reflection on representation and celebrates the diversity of women’s paths in high-altitude environments.
Once again this year, the Mountain Care Project supported the event, remaining true to its commitment to a more inclusive mountain.

The 6th edition of the festival took place from 13 to 16 November 2025 in Annecy.
Part of the programme remains available online until 5 January 2026, allowing as many people as possible to discover the films and content from the festival.
