questions & inquiries

Every commitment deserves clear answers. Here you will find the key information to better understand how Mountain Care Project works, what we do, and how you can support us.

1. About Mountain Care Project

Mountain Care Project is the endowment fund created by Cimalpes. It supports associations working in the Northern French Alps around two main missions: protecting the mountain environment and promoting social inclusion by making the mountains accessible to everyone.

Since 2003, Cimalpes has been transforming mountain real estate by bringing the standards and service approach of five-star hospitality to the industry.
Mountain Care Project is its endowment fund, created in 2023 to carry out its public-interest mission and bring together employees, property owners, partners and suppliers around meaningful non-profit projects.
As a company whose business depends on the attractiveness of mountain destinations, Cimalpes believes it has a responsibility to support local associations both financially and through employee engagement.

Cimalpes created Mountain Care Project and actively supports its development by involving its employees, property owners, partners and suppliers.
The company also contributes financially by donating €50 for every real estate transaction and €1 for every rental booking.

Funding decisions are made collectively by the Mountain Care Project Steering Committee.
Projects are assessed based on their impact, their local roots and how well they match the fund’s mission. They are then submitted to a vote involving the project’s stakeholders.
Funding is allocated according to both the association’s needs and the expected impact of the project.

2. Associations we support

Each year, Mountain Care Project launches a call for projects for associations based in the Northern French Alps.
Applications are evaluated according to several requirements, including their impact, their local presence and their contribution to one of the fund’s two main missions: protecting mountain environments or improving social inclusion and access to the mountains.
The final selection is made through a collective process involving the Steering Committee, property owners, partners, suppliers and employees.

Mountain Care Project supports public-interest associations carrying out projects in the Northern French Alps that match the fund’s mission.
Each call for projects includes the eligibility requirements and application process.

We are always happy to connect with associations working for our mountain communities. You can contact us at contact@mountaincareproject.com.

3. Donations

You can support the fund by making a donation.
Simply complete our support form to be contacted by Mountain Care Project or email us directly at contact@mountaincareproject.com.
We will guide you through the different donation options.

Your donation is redistributed to the associations supported by Mountain Care Project to help fund their projects and increase their impact.
It helps protect mountain environments, promote social inclusion and make the mountains more accessible to everyone.

Donations are primarily used to fund the projects carried out by the associations we support.
The Mountain Care Project Coordinator position is not funded by donations. It is fully financed by Cimalpes, which also contributes €50 for every property sale and €1 for every rental booking.
This allows most donations to directly benefit the supported associations and their projects.

4. Transparency & governance

Every year, Mountain Care Project publishes an annual activity report on its website and in the French Official Journal (Journal Officiel).
The report includes the supported associations, funds collected and distributed, as well as the fund’s operating expenses.

Since its creation, Mountain Care Project has supported 24 associations working to protect mountain environments, promote social inclusion and improve access to the mountains.
Between 2024 and 2026, more than €268,000 was distributed to projects with a positive impact across the Northern French Alps. We aim to increase this amount every year thanks to our commitment and the support of our community of donors.

You can discover all the supported associations in the “Organisations Supported” section of our website.
